Metal nanoparticles have incomparably large surface area due to the micro structures of nanoparticles. Therefore, metal nanoparticles show the specific reactivities toward various organic transformations.

In particular, we have found that the palladium and platinum nanoparticles supported on PS-PEG resin were effective for the aerobic oxidation of alcohols in water.

Recently, we are applying the nanoparticles to the continuous-flow reaction systems.
