Toward holding the molecular functional

Shed light on an electron in a molecule!

Welcome to research group of Satoshi KERA

Our research group investigates the electronic structure of functional organic molecules at surfaces and interfaces to unveil a peculiar characteristics of molecular electric/optical devices and to find out novel functionality from molecular materials. Weak-interacted systems found at organic-organic and organic-inorganic (metal, semiconductor) interfaces are in the focus of our present research. We perform these investigations in our own laboratories using complementary techniques as well as at synchrotron radiation sources, mainly at UVSOR (IMS) and at BESSY (Berlin). Realizing the new instrument for a condensed molecular quantum system is important to develop. Seeing a modification of wave function upon weak perturbation is central issue on our agenda.
